Our English Debate Team has won the Kowloon & HK Island Championship in the Hong Kong Secondary School Debating Competition on 19th December 2016 after competing hard in several rounds.

Quarter-final: 12th October 2016:

In the match between Pooi To Middle School and TMCC Holm Glad College, TMCC Holm Glad College won.

Motion: “This house would actively clamp down on unauthorized sub-divided housing in Hong Kong.”

Debaters: To Ling Chi (4E), Chan Ka Ho (4E), Wong Shui Lung (4E)

Semi-final: 6th December 2016

In the match between PLK Laws Foundation College and TMCC Holm Glad College, TMCC Holm Glad College won.

Motion: “This house believes that the Hong Kong government should significantly increase financial incentives for families to have more children.” 

Debaters: Chan Hiu Lam (4E), Kwong Ying Tung (5D), Chan Kwan Yung (5A)

In the match between St. Stephen's Church College and TMCC Holm Glad College, TMCC Holm Glad College won the Championship(Kowloon & HK Island ).

Motion: “This house supports quotas for women in high government positions.”
